A lightweight win-loss review system for small GTM teams

Learn from buying decisions without turning every outcome into a sales performance judgment.

Understand the decision

Sample wins, competitive losses, no-decisions, and serious opportunities that stalled. Use a neutral interviewer when possible and explain that the purpose is to understand the decision, not reopen the sale.

Put the practice to work

Trace the trigger, alternatives, criteria, participants, proof, concerns, and final tradeoff. Retain the buyer's language because a label such as price or timing can hide a deeper issue involving priority, trust, fit, or change capacity.

Review and improve

Act on patterns across several decisions, not one vivid anecdote. Separate issues the team can improve from customer conditions it should qualify earlier, assign each change to an owner, and examine later outcomes.
