Run a Go-To-Market Strategy And Revenue Operations Quality Sample That Changes the Process
Review a defined set of GTM outputs, record concrete defects and verify the corrections that follow.

Define the output and quality standard
Choose a specific workflow, such as campaign status updates or approved sales-asset handoffs. Identify what an acceptable output must contain and who owns that standard. Reviewers need a shared checklist before they classify defects.
Keep the review focused on observable work: source accuracy, correct destination, required approval and clear next action. Distinguish a stylistic preference from a failure to meet an agreed requirement.
Make the selection method visible
Record the period, population and method used to select work. Include relevant conditions such as different request types, owners or exceptions. Avoid selecting only the cleanest completed items because they are easiest to retrieve.
Explain the limits of the sample. A targeted check of known problem cases can help diagnose a workflow, but its defect proportion should not be presented as an estimate for all work. Ask an appropriately qualified reviewer to design sampling when population estimates are needed.
Record the defect and supporting evidence
For each reviewed item, identify the exact requirement that was missed and link the evidence. Record the effect on the recipient and whether correction is still needed. Keep sensitive records within their permitted access boundaries.
Use consistent categories so recurring issues can be grouped. Where reviewers disagree, resolve the interpretation with the standard’s owner and document it. Do not turn ambiguous criteria into an unexplained score against an individual.
Example: inconsistent campaign status notes
Illustrative finding: several reviewed status notes mark assets ready even though the approved copy has not reached the publishing folder. The reviewer links the notes and the destination records, then confirms the intended meaning of ready with the workflow owner.
The owner updates the checklist to require a destination check. A coordinator corrects the affected notes and the next review examines whether the same mismatch recurs. Fixing the wording alone would leave the underlying handoff gap intact.
Verify corrections and improve the process
Assign a responsible owner and review date to each accepted correction. Confirm the changed output or workflow rather than closing the issue when a reminder is sent. Preserve declined findings with the reason so future reviewers understand the standard.
Summarize recurring causes and the actions taken. Recheck the relevant workflow after changes have been used in practice. Keep the sample record and its limitations visible so the review supports learning without overstating what it proves.
